Heavens Edge Villa Terms & Conditions
1. A non-refundable, non-transferable Booking Fee of 30% is required to secure your booking. In addition, a security deposit of £150 is payable, which will be returned to you after your holiday, when the villa has been checked for damage or breakages.
2. Bookings are confirmed by the payment of the Booking Fee.
3. Full payment must be received, and funds cleared, 8 weeks prior to arrival. Should your payment not be received the booking may be treated as cancelled by you.
4. We have a strict cancellation policy and are unable to refund monies paid if a holiday is cancelled. Cancellation charges apply as follows:
For holidays cancelled within 62 days, payment in full is due.
Where 63 to 122 days notice is given, 75% of total amount is due.
Where 123 to 183 days notice is given, 50% of total amount is due.
Where 184 days or more notice is given, loss of deposit only.
We recommend that you take out holiday insurance with cancellation cover as soon as you book. This is essential for your own protection and we strongly recommend that you and all members of your party be suitably insured. If you choose to travel without adequate holiday insurance cover, we will not be liable for any losses however arising in respect of which insurance cover would otherwise have been available.
5. If any member of your party has any medical problem or disability which may affect your holiday, please let us know, giving full details, before making your booking so that we can advise you of the suitability of particular arrangements.
6. Please note that smoking is not permitted in and around the villa.
7. Please note that pets are not permitted in and around the villa.
8. The Villa is usually ready for occupation at 4:00pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 12:00 noon on the day of departure.
9. The owner is available on 07836 606060 throughout your holiday. It is essential to report any problems, immediately as they occur, in order to ensure prompt rectification.
10. Immediately upon arrival at your holiday home please familiarise yourself with the layout of the property, and identify any potential hazards e.g. unexpected steps, slippery surfaces, pool depths etc. PLEASE NOTE that the front door always locks as it closes, so please ensure you have your key with you at all times. When going out for the day, do not forget to lock all windows and doors, in particular the PATIO DOORS and FRENCH DOORS, which must be secured from inside. Should you lock yourself out, please contact us immediately.
11. At no time must any more persons, or different persons, occupy the property, or use the villa facilities, than those stated on the Client Detail form. We reserve the right to terminate your booking with immediate effect, if this condition is not met.
12. Clients are responsible for the supervision of children at all times and in particular in the area of the swimming pool. ANY PERSONS USING THE POOL DO SO AT THEIR OWN RISK. The swimming pool is not alarmed and there is no lifeguard on duty. The pool will be serviced twice weekly, usually on Tuesdays and Fridays. The villa does not possess inflatable pool toys. Any found at the premises have been left by previous guests, and are used at your own risk.
13. Whilst a safe is provided for guest use in the main bedroom, we cannot accept responsibility for any loss under any circumstances. On arrival, you must set the safe combination, as per the instructions provided, BEFORE closing the safe. If you lock yourself out of the safe, please contact us.
14. Full air conditioning means both bedrooms and the living areas unless stipulated otherwise. It does not mean that the system is on 24 hours a day. Living area A/C hours are 3 pm to midnight, Bedroom hours are 7 pm to 7 am. We accept no responsibility for the breakdown of these units under any circumstances although we will always endeavour to arrange repairs as soon as possible.
15. The villa is located in a residential area. Please remember that sound travels and noise should be kept to reasonable levels, especially after 11 pm. Roadworks and/or building work in close proximity to the villa may occur without any prior warning, this is understandably beyond our control.
16. No liability can be accepted and no compensation will be paid where the performance of our contractual obligations are prevented or affected by any event or circumstances which we could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events include adverse weather conditions, fire, civil strife, actual or threatened terrorist activity and all similar events outside our control.
17. In the extremely unlikely event that the villa becomes uninhabitable due to circumstances beyond our control, we will inform you of this as soon as possible, and offer you a pro rata refund. No further claim against the owner for any loss suffered will be considered.
18. Clients are liable for breakages and damage caused during their stay, and we must be informed immediately of any such breakages or damage.
19. Please leave the villa in a reasonably clean and tidy condition, and remove all rubbish at the end of your stay. We reserve the right to charge for extra cleaning and rubbish removal if necessary.
20. We aim to ensure that all the information on our website and advertising is accurate, however occasionally changes and errors occur and we reserve the right to correct details in such circumstances. We make every effort to make sure that descriptions, photographs of furniture and fittings etc. are accurate. These may sometimes change and therefore vary from our website copy and photographs. We accept no liability should a description or a photograph be inaccurate. If a particular facility offered in a property is essential to the booking of your holiday, please ensure that we are made aware of this prior to you completing the booking confirmation.
21. These Terms and Conditions override all others, and the right is reserved to alter or amend these at any time without prior notice. Correct at 26th May 2024, E&OE.
